As I stepped into my first Ashtanga yoga class in Central London I had no idea what to expect. I was going through some life stuff and had heard yoga would be good to chill me out. I found a spot at the back of the class and just did my best to keep up ;) That 90 mins changed everything. During the practice I felt like my brain could just take a "pause". What started out as a single weekly class turned into a dedicated, regular practice.
The benefits were immense. Not only did yoga improve my sleep, but it also helped me manage daily stress more effectively, alongside enhancing my strength and flexibility.
I quickly realised that yoga was so much more than just the physical postures. Driven by a desire to delve deeper into its philosophy, I enrolled in a Yoga Teacher Training course six years after my first class. Initially, I had no plans to teach; the course was simply a means to deepen my own understanding and practice.
Once I qualified, I couldn't wait to share the benefits of yoga with others...I have taught classes in yoga studios, gyms, corporate settings and now run my own weekly Yoga Serenity classes.
My classes are super friendly, in a calm, and relaxed atmosphere. I create a supportive and non-judgmental space for everyone to practice. Wherever you are in your yoga journey, you are welcome, nothing is expected of you at all.
In Jan 2024, I qualified as a Sound Practitioner (Accredited by the Complimentary Medical Association), I completed my training with Holly Hustler.
I love hosting sound baths and sharing the magic of crystal and Himalayan singing bowls, allowing students to rest deeply. The power of sound and vibration is so special.
I'll always be a student first, and I am currently pursuing my 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training.
The journey continues, and I warmly invite you to join me in exploring the transformative power of yoga.
